God Directs Your Life Through Spontaneous Events

God directs your life if you are sensitive to His gentle nudges and sometimes kicks in the pants. A good case in point is car problems.

I drive a Volvo S60 year 2001. The car controls almost everything through computers. I believe that demonic forces can impact electronics, sort of like gremlins or poltergeist.

For the last 6 months I have been dealing with an engine service waring message. It is one problem after another that miraculously disappears as soon as I show up at the dealer or a repair garage.

Wow! It is so frustrating to not have a reliable car.

After getting some factory recall work done at the Volvo dealer, the car immediately started overheating. The local repair shop found the wire to the radiator cooling fan was disconnected but they could not discover why the engine service warning message kept going on and off.

Today I finally decided to take it back to the dealer that did the recall work. I shared the overheating problem they created. They waived the $140 diagnostics charge. Of course, they could not find anything wrong with the car. The warning message would not reproduce.

Since I was only 2 miles away from the local abortion mill, I realized that God wanted me to go pray the four mysteries in the middle of the day in close to 100 degree temperatures. As a dedicated prayer warrior, I pray a second series of the 4 mysteries at different abortion mills twice a week.

You can tell when you are doing God’s will because events have huge spiritual consequence. The spot where I stand as I pray in front of the abortion mill has a lot of traffic. In an hour’s time, between 500-1,000 cars drive by. Praying the rosary in plain sight on the sidewalk in front of the abortion center impacts most people spiritually.

The three reactions are thumbs up, thumbs down or the middle finger.

As I prayed over an hour, two cars stopped on a side street. Two different women, one named Pat and the other Candice, came up to me. They questioned my motives. Then they shared just how much my praying in public encouraged them in their pro-life commitments.

Both were non-denominational Christians. Pat was a former Catholic.

God gave me the opportunity to share my unique spiritual path in a loving way with both. We were united through the sacrifice of Jesus and His  love. They also were committed to praying for the innocent babies and an end to abortion in the world. I consider these two events a divine appointment from God that would not have occurred without my mysterious car problems.

After all, if we all cannot unite to pray to save innocent babies in the womb from being murdered, then there is not much hope for babyboomers receiving the medical care they need to stay alive in the days to come under socialized medicine. When  a non-Christian, politically correct  government defines the economic value of human beings, babies and older people are sacrificed on the altar of greed. They are expendable because they are considered non-productive members of the society.

As I prayed the rosary and read out loud the pro-life prayers for each decade from the “Priests For Life” Prayer Book, I was inspired by the following 3rd Luminous Mystery Prayer: Christ Proclaims the Kingdom and Calls All To Conversion, “Repent and believe the Good News.” Let us pray that these first words of Jesus’ public ministry may be heard by all who have committed abortion. May they know that the Lord calls them to conversion, and may they experience life-giving repentance.
