Imagine reading this terrifying headline six months from now…Priests for Life Forced to Pay for Employee’s Abortion!” How would that make you feel?
Personally, it makes my blood boil.
Just thinking about it makes me so mad, I could spit nails.
But if the Obama Administration gets its way, that headline could actually come true very soon.
That’s what has me terrified.
And you should be terrified, too.
Because the exact same ruling that now requires all Catholic hospitals, universities, charities, and other organizations to PAY FOR ABORTION… CONTRACEPTION… and STERILIZATION (whether we like it or not) will also affect YOU in a direct and inescapable way.
You see, the new regulation from the Dept. of Health and Human Services is nothing more than…
A Way to Force Abortion Down EVERYONE’S Throats!
How? By requiring that abortions (such as those caused by the “morning after” abortion pill… “Plan B”… and “RU-486”) get automatic full coverage in every health insurance plan in the United States!
I’m serious. Starting on August 1st of this year, all employers will have to start switching their employee health plans over to the “new and approved” health insurance policies which, under the “ObamaCare” disaster that was passed by Congress in 2010, must cover everything from contraception to sterilization and the abortion pill…!
That means NOBODY will have ANY CHOICE in the matter from here on out!!!
Every health care plan in America will have to cover abortion and other morally repugnant anti-life sins.
That means YOU get to pay for abortion – whether you like it or not!
And… what’s worse, the Catholic Church will have to officially PAY FOR the very things that are diametrically opposed to Catholic moral teaching!!!
This, of course, is absolutely unacceptable to the Catholic Church.
It is, first and foremost, a violation of the Church’s religious freedom and rights of conscience.
Secondly, it’s 100% unconstitutional.
And thirdly, it quite possibly will cause the Catholic Church to openly revolt against the Obama Administration—a showdown that would be very costly, time-consuming, and unnecessarily disruptive of all the good work done every day by the Church in the fields of education, health care, and charity.
So in order to come to the Church’s defense—as well as our own defense, and the defense of all Americans who will otherwise be affected by this unwarranted decree—we at Priests for Life are doing something we’ve never done before…
We’re going to SUE the Obama Administration for conscience violation regarding FORCED COVERAGE OF ABORTION and contraception!
Yes, you read that correctly.
We’re going to SUE Obama!
Mind you, this is no “frivolous lawsuit.” Far from it.
Rather, this is a fight for the basic freedoms we enjoy as Americans—the rights that our Founding Fathers held as the highest principles of our new nation… a nation that was “conceived in liberty.”
Barack Obama is ready to THROW AWAY 200+ years of American Christian culture in favor of the demonic “culture of death” that he apparently sold his soul to.
But we’re not going to let him get away with it!
There’s too much at stake.
The lives of millions of babies would be lost to the “abortion mandate” in ObamaCare. In fact, more babies will be murdered than ever before – even since Roe v. Wade!
That’s because the ObamaCare abortion mandate requires EVERY employer to provide TOTAL COVERAGE for abortion-inducing drugs such as “Plan B” and “ella”… the dangerous abortifacients that are normally very expensive.
Now, under this despicable HHS regulation, the abortion pills will be FREE to anyone and everyone who wants them!
The employee pays ZERO deductible and has a ZERO co-pay!
What’s worse, the HHS ruling REQUIRES all employers (yes, even Priests for Life) to EDUCATE its employees on how to obtain these life-stopping, baby-killing “human pesticides”!!!
This abortion mandate is so outrageous, it’s almost ridiculous!
And yet, it’s the law—and it takes effect this summer unless we can stop it in its tracks.
Clearly, it’s going to take a full-blown lawsuit to stop this diabolical HHS ruling.
Other organizations have already filed different types of lawsuits. And we at Priests for Life are going to file a lawsuit that takes a unique approach so that, if other lawsuits fail, ours will have a chance of winning.
I can’t reveal the details of our lawsuit in this letter.
All I can tell you is that it’s going to be VERY expensive—due to the complex nature of suing the Federal Government and being prepared to take this case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary (which looks quite likely).
Therefore, I’m writing to ask you for your much-needed very special help with this fight.
We must raise a minimum of $110,000 IMMEDIATELY so that we have the resources to sue the Obama Administration.
That means we need everyone’s utmost generosity at this time—because there’s not a moment to lose!
With the August 1st deadline fast approaching, we must get our lawsuit underway as quickly as possible.
And, as you know, things move rather slowly in the courts. So if we don’t start now, we could miss the boat completely.
That’s why I’m hoping and praying that you’ll send Priests for Life your most sacrificial gift TODAY.
We need gifts of $100 and up—even as much as $1,000… $5,000… and $10,000 if you can.
But if that’s not possible, hopefully you’ll be able to send $75 or $50 to help get this lawsuit battle underway.
I must emphasize this…
There’s no time to lose!
We have already retained the services of one of America’s foremost religious liberty attorneys, Mr. Charles LiMandri of San Diego, California.
Mr. LiMandri achieved national distinction by saving the famous “Mt. Soledad Cross” in San Diego—a historic war memorial that had been erected on public property many decades ago, which local atheists sought to have torn down because it’s a Christian symbol. He has also fought for the rights of San Diego firefighters who were forced to participate in a vulgar “gay pride” parade against their will or else face termination.
As Mr. LiMandri told me…
“Father, this is the first time in American history that any administration has used brute force to compel someone to violate their conscience or moral convictions.
It’s unheard of. It’s also antithetical to the core American principles of religious liberty and freedom from invasions of privacy.”
He’s right. And we’re prepared to FIGHT!
We at Priests for Life intend to STOP the ill-conceived HHS edict and challenge it on constitutional grounds.
Again, this case could go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. And we’ll be happy to take it there if need be.
We will stand our ground, and we won’t back down.
