This is a defense of our Catholic faith that is taking place on our Catholic Brothers For Christ Youtube account where we posted the videos from the 2015 North Texas Catholic Men’s Conference. Father Larry Richards’ “Be A Man” video seems to be causing quite a bit of controversy.
25EllisDee25: oh that’s a good one. a catholic priest telling people to “be a man”. how ironic is that? one who is not a man telling someone else to be a man….a real man does not cornhole young boys. a real man does not spend his whole life living out a predatory fantasy. a real man is a good man.
Catholic Prayer Response: What is your definition of a man? Father Richard’s definition is based on holiness and living a holy life, following God’s commandments. With your gesture, blaspheming the image of Jesus Christ, how do you think God feels about you when you are defiling his message of love and forgiveness?
You seem to believe all priests are pedophiles and homosexuals. When you look at the actual statistics, only a fraction of the priests were rooted in sin and preyed on innocent young boys. How can you condemn an entire religion because of the actions of a few very sinful individuals?
We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. Even the holiest person can give into the temptations of Satan and choose grievous sin. Thankfully Catholics have the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
