Defense Of “Be A Man” Video By Father Larry Richards Part 31

This is a defense of our Catholic faith that is taking place on our Catholic Brothers For Christ Youtube account where we posted the videos from the 2015 North Texas Catholic Men’s Conference. Father Larry Richards’ “Be A Man” video seems to be causing quite a bit of controversy.

25EllisDee25 response to +Catholic Brothers For Christno, there is no reason at all to “be” an atheist. as i said before, i would prefer if god existed and i could look forward to life after death. i think heaven sounds just fine. i wish it were true. but i do not believe it is. i don’t see any evidence of it. i dont see any reason why it should be. i am sad every time someone i love dies. sad because i will never enjoy their company again. if i was religious, funerals would be celebrations of someone’s promotion into heaven. why do people cry at funerals then? i think deep down inside, they know the real deal, and the real deal is that person just ceased to exist, permanently and forever. so no, i am not an atheist so i can sin. i still try to live my life as jesus allegedly would have lived his. being nice to people. not lying, cheating, or stealing. do not do unto others. i dont exactly believe in turning one’s cheek anymore, but rather an eye for an eye. in some cases, 2 eyes for an eye. to live with no constraints is foolish as it is selfish. i think the concept of forgiveness is getting dangerously close to living without constraints. you can do whatever you want and always be forgiven. that is bullshit. that means hitler might have gone to heaven. fuck that.

Catholic Brothers For Christ response to 25EllisDee25Hitler might have gone to heaven. God is the final judge. Even the worst sinner can be saved at the moment of their death. No sin is unforgivable. God is merciful and there are many people who go not go to hell because of the endless prayers of the believers.

The “Lady of Fatima Prayer” says, “O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of your Mercy. Amen.

You have made your choice. Atheism is a path that leads to sadness, sorrow and ultimately to nothingness. You said “I would prefer if god existed and i could look forward to life after death. i think heaven sounds just fine. i wish it were true. but i do not believe it is. if i was religious, funerals would be celebrations of someone’s promotion into heaven.”

My choice leads to happiness, joy and most importantly a peace that goes beyond understanding here on earth and in heaven.

Choices do have eternal consequences. My path is the best one for me and yours is for you, although the outcomes are radically different. I guess that is why Christians and other faiths that promote a glorious afterlife, far outnumber atheists.

Unfortunately, we won’t know until Jesus comes back or we die. I pray for the sake of all atheists and unbelievers that your mental construct is true and there is nothingness at the end for all eternity.
