Gospel – Matthew 10:26-33
Jesus said to the Twelve: “Fear no one. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.”
The Catechism of the Catholic Church
831 … the Church is catholic because she has been sent out by Christ on a mission to the whole of the human race: All men are called to belong to the new People of God. This People, therefore, while remaining one and only one, is to be spread throughout the whole world and to all ages in order that the design of God’s will may be fulfilled: he made human nature one in the beginning and has decreed that all his children who were scattered should be finally gathered together as one. . . . The character of universality which adorns the People of God is a gift from the Lord himself whereby the Catholic Church ceaselessly and efficaciously seeks for the return of all humanity and all its goods, under Christ the Head in the unity of his Spirit.
709 The Law, the sign of God’s promise and covenant, ought to have governed the hearts and institutions of that people to whom Abraham’s faith gave birth. “If you will obey my voice and keep my covenant, . . . you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.”
From “Door to Heaven” Testimony of Catalina Rivas (DH-38.1-1)
1) I want to talk to you about the need for human respect. I said to My Apostles that they should remain faithful during the persecutions; that the time would come when those who kill them would be convinced they were giving a gift to the Lord. That is how it was: the enemies of the faith thought they would offer Me a great gift by killing the Christians. That is what many so-called Christians are doing today; they are killing their own souls, losing the grace of human decency in their efforts to satisfy their friends of this world. How many unfortunate souls have been sent to Hell by their need for human respect, which is the greatest enemy of salvation!
From “From Sinai to Calvary” Testimony of Catalina Rivas (The Closing Words of Catalina)
Certain Bible passages and words of Jesus come to mind, I want to share them with you: He who listens to you listens to Me, and he who shows contempt for you shows contempt for Me, and he who shows contempt for Me, shows contempt for Him who sent Me. And you will be taken before governors and kings for My sake, to bear testimony about Me before them. Do not worry about what you are to say, for the Holy Spirit will speak for you.”
“You will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who perseveres to the end will be saved.” “Be not afraid, for nothing is hidden that will not be discovered. What I tell you in the dark, say in the daylight and what you hear whispered, preach from the housetops. Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear Him who can cast both soul and body into hell.”
Each week we will be presenting a portion of the following Sunday’s readings, and linking it to relevant parts of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and messages from the Testimony of Catalina. Pay special attention to the italicized underlined sections. This Sunday it is asked, What kind of soil will you be for the word of God? We hope this is inspiring and educational. Any comments you have are certainly welcomed.

I have known Tim for many years and recommend his work highly. He is a strong advocate for the “The Real Body and Blood Of Jesus” and the numerous miracles that occur on a daily basis. Both of us are greatly inspired by the amazing writings of Catalina Rivas. Catalina is one of the few individuals in history who personally experienced the “Stigmata Of Jesus Christ.”
