Holy Week has been a joyous time to pray in front of the Bedford Planned Parenthood clinic for the repentance, forgiveness and healing for all involved in abortion at any time in their lives. On Good Friday, we had one of our largest gathering of men and women Prayer Warriors ever.
On this Good Friday, the day Christians and Catholics commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, we are grateful for His sacrifice. At the end of His passion, when the Roman solider pierced His side, blood and water gushed forth as a font of mercy for us all.
When you consider the love of God, in sacrificing the life of His only Son to pay the debt of all sins from the beginning of time to the end, so we could have eternal life with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Mary and Joseph and the Angels and Saints, it is truly humbling. When you imagine the unbelievable pain and agony Jesus suffered during His passion, you know only the Son of God could have completed this important mission of salvation.
It is a mystery to me why so many believe they can save themselves by being good people. In light of Good Friday, how many would be willing to suffer a similar passion, if that is what is required for the forgiveness of their sins? Unfortunately, too many have rejected the teachings of the Catholic Church and embraced the liberal progressive pathway to Hell.
The failure to repent of sexual sins and those promoted by political correctness, relativism, socialism, modernism, self-autonomy, abortion and contraception will be the broadest pathway to suffering in Hell for eternity. We need to pray that God will have mercy on us all, especially those in most need of His mercy.
There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. Proverbs 14:12
“Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. Matthew 7:13
