She shared her amazing story about her battle for the life and dignity of her Trisomy 18 baby suffering from Edwards Syndrome. Doctors wanted her to abort her baby because they said her fetus would die in the womb before birth.
It is an incredible story filled with fear, faith, miracles, heartbreak, joy and the exploration of new frontiers of medicine dedicated to babies with the chromosomal damage
Coach Roos is entering her 10th season as head varsity coach and 12th at BL. The varsity volleyball team has won the last four state championships in TAPPS 5A. In both 2015 and 2014, the team finished the season ranked #3 in the state among all public and private schools. Coach Roos also received the District Coach of the Year award several times as well as the TAPPS Coach of the Year among all sports in 2015.
Coach Roos has also coached club volleyball at Skyline Juniors. Each team she coached at Skyline qualified for the Junior Olympics. Prior to living in Dallas, she was the head volleyball coach at Reicher Catholic High School in Waco for three years.
Coach Roos is also the Director of Admissions at BL and has been married to her husband, Jonas, for 11 years. She has three children, Cameron (5), Annabelle (12/29/14-1/5/15), and her recent addition, Andie (5 months). Annabelle passed away because she had Trisomy 18. You can read about her precious life on the Facebook page called “Annabelle’s Army.”
Join Annabelle’s Army on Facebook and become a prayer warrior for her healing and for the impact her life will have on others.
I’m Annabelle’s Aunt April and I’m be providing you with ways in which you can pray for and support the Roos family (Jonas, Tricia, Cameron, and Annabelle).
Annabelle Marie was diagnosed on July 14, 2014 with full Trisomy 18, a rare and lethal genetic disorder. Doctors recommended terminating the pregnancy, but the Roos family are choosing to carry Annabelle to full term and give her the best chance at life. Her due date is Jan. 13, 2015.
We are Jesus saved, hope for redemption, prayers for healing people. The info I’ll be providing is in no way to say – look at us, or how great are they – but to ask you to beg the Lord with us for Annabelle’s healing and that her life would make a huge impact on our world.
We have HIGH hopes and prayers for this precious life and gift from God.
We love you Annabelle Marie, with all our hearts.
